The debut finally arrived. Jake Bennett scored 3 active FP. Taj Bradley scored 11 FP on the bench. So the first actual post-trade pitching day produced 14 real points but only three in NesBomb's score. No regrade from one start, but the trade can now officially be followed.
🔥 Day 6 Heroes & Storylines
ALCANTARA GIVES WAATZOO 35 AND PUTS BANTONS ON SUNDAY DEFENSE
Sandy Alcantara delivered 35 FP, and Mason Miller added a 10-point save. Waatzoo scored 64, extended the lead to 283.5-256.5, and still owns three legal pitching appearances. Bantons has zero. In a matchup with obvious postseason implications, the remaining inventory is now as important as the score.
BMT TAKES 13 POINTS OUT OF NESBOMB'S CUSHION
Jacob deGrom gave BMT 22 FP, Louis Varland added nine in relief, and Arraez chipped in five. BMT won Saturday 56-43. NesBomb still leads 298-272.5, but both teams are now at five RP appearances and five SP starts. Sunday is beautifully simple: one legal start apiece, then the bats decide the rest.
McCARTHY GOES 2 HR + 2 SB AND KEEPS BANTONS BREATHING
Jake McCarthy went 4-for-5 with 2 HR, 2 SB, 4 runs and 3 RBI for 21 FP. It was almost half of Bantons' entire 44-point day. With no pitching left, this is exactly the kind of offensive ceiling Bantons needs again Sunday.
NEXT YEAR DROPS 84.5 AND REFUSES TO GO AWAY
Michael King 29, Jac Caglianone 18, and Gavin Williams 17 powered an 84.5-point Saturday. Next Year trails the adjusted Boomsticks score by only 10 and still has one SP start available. The Boomsticks have none. This became a real Sunday matchup whether Greg wanted it to or not.

BOOMSTICKS BENCH 29, START 6, THEN LOSE ANOTHER 6 TO THE RP LIMIT
Bubba Chandler scored 29 FP on the bench while Landen Roupp scored six in an active SP slot. That's a 23-point marginal bench crime in a matchup that is now separated by ten. Then the bullpen added paperwork: Ty Madden's six-point relief appearance fell beyond the weekly maximum. Boomsticks' 96.5-point Saturday becomes 90.5 adjusted, and the weekly 320 becomes 314.
NTAC'S GRANT TAYLOR SAVE DOESN'T COUNT
NTAC entered Saturday with one RP slot left and used Steven Cruz (3) and Grant Taylor (11). Kansas City began at 7:10 PM ET, before Chicago's 7:32 PM ET first pitch, so Cruz is appearance five and Taylor is appearance six. Taylor's 11 comes off. NTAC's raw 202 becomes 191, turning a 50.5-point HAITBÜRGER lead into 61.5.
NESBOMB'S NEW ARMS: BENNETT 3 ACTIVE, BRADLEY 11 BENCHED
The first day of the Bradley/Bennett acquisition was not exactly a parade. Bennett's active start produced 3 FP. Bradley scored 11 from the bench. NesBomb had room for both starts this week, so this was an 8-point same-role marginal miss, not a limit issue. NesBomb still leads BMT by 25.5, which keeps it in the "annoying" category instead of "Sunday evidence exhibit."
BANTONS HAVE 25 RELIEF POINTS ON THE BENCH AND CANNOT LEGALLY USE THEM
